Board successfully meets Core Standards Requirements
The Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of REALTORS® successfully completed its annual Core Standards application with the National Association of REALTORS® this past June. All REALTOR® Boards across the country must complete this process to continue as a chartered member of the NAR, to raise the bar for REALTOR® Associations and ensure high-quality service for their members. The application challenged the Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of REALTORS® to demonstrate proficiency in the areas of:
1. Code of Ethics
3. Consumer Outreach
4. Unification Efforts and Support of the REALTOR® Organization
6. Financial Solvency
The Board is now in its 9th year of sharing services with the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS®. This has allowed us to expand services and streamline management through this strategic partnership. The collaboration allows us to operate more efficiently and to keep pace with the ever-increasing expectations and demands on our Board and its management.
The Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of REALTORS® has adopted the Boys and Girls Club of Providence as it 2016 Charity of Choice. This organization provides a variety of services to the community ranging from homework help, hot dinners, career development training, computer and internet safety instruction, to name a few. 82% of the children who attend the Boys and Girls Club live in poverty. President James Moore recently made the announcement stating the Rhode Island Commercial and Appraisal Board of REALTORS® is joining the challenge of the National Association of REALTORS® to strengthening communities across the country. Thanks to all who helped out with the April 30th clean-up at the Providence Boys & Girls Club on Wickenden Street. There will be additional opportunities to assist throughout the year. Members will be notified of opportunities via email.
